Good day friend,
It’s a beautiful Sunday Solstice today and I am excited that we will slowly be moving to shorter days soon enough. I have been enjoying the warmth and sunshine we have been getting but I am definitely an Autumn/Winter girl at heart.
Lately, it seems I have entered into a bit of a waiting period. You know, it’s when things slow down and interruptions take a priority position; the washing machine starts to leak, you’re good friend takes a spill and fractures her pelvis, the generator starts acting a fool just as the heat turns up, or all of this at once. All your plans get parked on the back burner until you can take care of the “emergencies”.
When I was younger this would really get me anxious and even discouraged but with experience I have learned life feels better when you go with the flow rather than against it. I still put a good amount of effort into keeping myself calm and collected but it helps to have ways to use that energy that still push me forward to my goals; moving my body and nourishing it help tremendously.
I’ve also spent mornings in the forums of my favorite Real Estate community, Bigger Pockets. There are real people asking great questions and those with the experience to answer them. I also ordered a new book to keep sharpening my mind towards my real estate goals. It’s called Missing Middle Housing: Thinking Big and Building Small to Respond to Today’s Housing Crisis by Daniel G. Parolek. I think this will be helpful for to my approach and I am excited for it to be delivered soon.
I am thankful to have learned that sometimes what you can control is your attitude and for the opportunity to practice just that.
I am also grateful to have such a beautiful place to walk with my girl Ellie each day, it fills my spirit to see the flowers blooming and the unbothered birds living freely.

Cheers to being in the waiting and using that time wisely. I hope this week brings you a warm hug and the peace only nature can provide.
I’d also like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to my Dad and all the Father figures out there.
Same time next week.
— Sara
